Welcome to 2026 everybody! My 2025 was a pretty active year in RPGing. Aside from playing 51 RPG sessions last year, I also got in my fair share of board games. I went to GenCon this year and played a number of fun prototype board games in the First Exposure playtest hall. I was also invited to "GrumpyCon", a fun private convention made up some local friends, where I also played a ton of board games. Here is a breakdown of my RPG playing in 2025:

  • The Skeleton System (12 Sessions): This is a system of my friend Rich's devising that we use primarily for running sessions in the Rainy City. Most of these 12 sessions were for a "Department for the Maintenance of Bounds, Grounds and Hedges" campaign that has now wrapped up, but some other Rainy City one-shots were involved as well.
  • Street Fighter: The Storytelling Game (10 Sessions): These were mostly part of our Saturday night online group's newer campaign, "Hissatsuwaza: Legends", though a couple in-person one-shots were involved too. I GM'd 2 sessions.
  • Night's Black Agents (10 Sessions): Aside from, I think 1 session, all of these sessions were part of my friend Andrew's "The Glasgow Gambit" campaign
  • Mongoose Traveller 2022 Update (7 Sessions): My friend Andrew ran a campaign, "The Hapi Station Expedition," which all of these sessions were from.
  • DC Heroes 3e (5 Sessions): These sessions come in 2 buckets. The first bucket were sessions ending our Saturday night online group's "The New Immortal Elite" campaign set in Empire City, where I ran 3 sessions. The other bucket was for a Friday night group campaign called "The Junk Universe" ran by my friend Rich.
  • Delta Green (4 Sessions): My friend Andrew ran all of these as part of a dark '90s horror run/mini-campaign.
  • Call of Cthulhu 7e (3 Sessions): Andrew again.

It was a solid year of roleplaying, and the most sessions I've crammed into a single year in a very long time.
