Links and Resources
So many RPGs out there in the world have dedicated web pages, Facebook groups and other resources, live or dead. There is a part of me that wants to keep every RPG alive, as unrealistic as that is. This section of the site tries to compile some notable web pages that serve as fun resources or possibly hubs of community for different RPGs as I compile them. I hope it eventually gets built up enough to be useful to you! I will list RPGs in alphabetical order and within that, broadly try to list sites in order of how significant I find them, some personal judgement based on how alive the site is and how much material if contains. I may get to DnD or Pathfinder stuff, but the resources there are vast and kind of for that reason they rate lower priority for me.
Street Fighter: The Storytelling Game
White Wolf, primarily known for their "World of Darkness" games such as Vampire: The Masquerade, released this RPG in 1994 and supported it until 1995. Later, in Brazil, the RPG was published in Portuguese in magazine form. The game is based primarily on Street Fighter 2, the fighting video game by Capcom.
- SFRPG.com: Still the best Street Fighter RPG site in the English speaking world, this site used to be known as "Matt's Conversions" long ago. It hosts the G-File, a fan supplement statting up World Warriors from across the Street Fighter Games. The site also has a variety of interesting tools, such as a Combat Card generator, Character Sheet generator and more. There are even a couple interviews with creators involved with some of the supplements, not to mention a complete archive of the old Yahoo! Group for the game, containing community chatter from as far back as 1998! It also has maybe the most comprehensive list of links to other fan-sites for the RPG.
- The Street Fighter Facebook Group: This is the most active online community in the English speaking world. It's Facebook, but news and conversation about the game still happens here if you're interested in checking it out.
- Shotokan RPG: This is probably the best Street Fighter RPG site in the Portuguese speaking world. Street Fighter has a very active Brazilian community and this site contains a number of articles, fan made magazines and supplements.
- The Street Fighter Facebook Group (Portuguese): Much like the English speaking scene does most of its public conversing on a Facebook group, the Brazilian sceen also has a pretty active group dedicated to the RPG.
- Street Fighter Paradise: My own site, it contains the Street Fighter 20th Anniversary Edition, as well as links to a variety of fan magazines and supplements for the game.
- Batjutsu: The site contains articles on more than just Street Fighter, but Batjutsu has published his own supplement for the game, and also, very crucially, has done a ton of work in translating fan materials produced in Brazil into English. The fan-zine "Warrior's Fist" is the most obvious example, but that is only some of the work he's done.
- Street Fighter RPG Blog: An older site by a friend of mine, it has some solid analysis of maneuvers in the game, as well as some entertaining and possibly useful random charts related to Street Fighter campaigns.
Marvel Super Heroes Adventure Game
Also known as "Marvel SAGA", this game was published by TSR from 1998 until 2000. It uses a custom card deck for action resolution.
